SOUTH BAY
Bill Junge:
This club was an off-shoot of the Gardena, CA based Vampires
that I joined in 1955. When Jay Hathaway, one of
their members, transferred from Gardena HS to Redondo HS, he recruited a lot of
new members for their club. It grew so much that it was decided to start a
separate South Bay branch that met in Redondo Beach. The plaque used by the
Gardena club had a different bat and the location for this large club was
shown as Southern California.
I was elected Secretary/Treasurer when the South Bay club was started and
here is the list I had of members, and the cars they drove .....
